The truth is by accident. Mark Turner and a friend Ken Robinson thought they would have a weekend away at the Doncaster "Rip Speed" show to see what it was all about after a couple of customers had been ranting and raving about how good these shows really are, and there was the added bonus of sociable weekend away.
Whilst they were there they had a look at the "Sound Off" scene (IASCA UK) and Mark thought mmm, He would be interested in having a go at this, also one of his regular customers was competing at this event in Doncaster. His car had very good equipment installed but was not being used to its full potential, he asked for some help. So his car was booked into Turners workshops and began a make over and fine tuning of his car HiFi system. Following the modifications he continued to compete throughout the rest of the season. The end result was several trophies and the outstanding achievement of winning the best sounding car at the UK finals at "Trax 99". This was unusual as he was a novice competitor. After this Turners had a huge amount of interest from people wanting to compete in the UK sound off scene, so TEAM TURNERS was born.
